UDC takes its name from the Utah Construction Company, which was chosen at the turn of the century to form partnerships, budget, plan and execute the construction of the Hoover Dam.
 
The dam was finished in five years, two years ahead of schedule, and under budget, giving the company leader’s confidence that they could take on any project, anytime, anywhere.
 
Utah Construction’s President Marriner Eccles was a key leader of the consortium, and his contributions to the project amounted to a blueprint for how our company, UDC, approaches and partners in the creation of large, difficult, complex projects.
